Delays

Let me start with an apology. I'm sorry for the delay in my blogs - I try to write something for you every Wednesday, but some unexpected health issues have caused some delays in my normal schedule. I'm hoping to get some better perspective on those delays this week, which has freed up some brain space for me to give you a blog today.

I can tell you what isn't delayed too much is Amends, the next Retribution novel. It is on track for a summer publication date. I'm about half-way through the final edit and it's looking good. For me, the final round of edits is to update notes from my beta reader and to read through the entire novel myself as if I were a reader picking up the book in a bookstore. It takes time because I force myself to read slowly, as if it's the first time I'm seeing these words in print.

I'm excited to get the book out to the rest of you. I want you to meet a couple of new characters and I'm happy to have brought Zartan back into the story as a significant character. He was quite put out that there wasn't more for him to do in Genesis, but I had to keep reminding him that he doesn't live in Europe.
