The work continues on the piece with the embarrassing grammar. After getting all the way to the end, I've decided the bones are so good that I can't just regulate the piece back to my bookshelf of unfinished novels. I started working through the first chapter earlier this week - rewriting from the outline I have, fleshing out the story more, and fixing the terrible grammar I wrote about last week.
The important part is to keep writing. Every day I wake up early to put in an hour or so before I go to my day job. I still keep a spiral bound notebook in my computer case and if inspiration strikes me during the day, I write longhand over lunch. Once you allow yourself to get out of the habit of daily writing, it's difficult to get back into it.
